Senior Education Program The M. R. Conic Foundation, sponsors the Senior Education Program as a Teaching and Learning Opportunity for Seniors in the Jackson, MS, Area. The Group meets the first Monday of each month, at the Cynthia Church of Christ (Hol.) USA Highway 49 North and Shell Rock Road at 3:00PM. Speaker present valuable and beneficial information to attendees. Dinner is served at each meeting. Door Prizes and incentives are given to Seniors for attending. This Program is open to anyone in the community and we welcome your attendance and your participation. Seniors are welcomed to suggest topics which are of interest to them. SENIOR EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM
The MRCF has put several programs into place even before the Facility is built. The reason for this is that the Seniors in Jackson, Mississippi who may become residents are being invited to participate in events that will provide them with a lot of information that will help them to make informed decisions regarding future housing needs.
The Senior Educational Seminars/Focus Group, has met and discussed a number of topics, including advance directives, sessions on financial, legal and health/wellness information, and much more is planned. The Program is designed to address the expressed needs of the participating Seniors and schedule of activities for the fall will reflect feedback from the Seniors.
Financial planners, insurance specialists, attorneys, AARP Representatives and many other resource persons will be called upon to present information to the Seniors in the next sessions.
The participating Seniors and Presenters are excited about the program and expect to learn a great deal from this adventure.
